1:1 In the beginning G-d created Heaven and Earth
1:2 The Earth was without form and empty, with darkness on the face of the depths, but G-d's spirit moved on the water's surface
1:3 G-d said, "There shall be light", and light came into existence
1:4 G-d saw that the light was good, and G-d divided between the light and the darkness

1) what sect of Jew are you?

2) do you plan to do the whole alef bet?

3) would you mind having a running spiritual discussion with me possibly through notes?

4) misc things about you.

I am not Jewish.

Ideally I will be someday, but I don't want to begin until I move back to Texas in the summer. actually, my Mother is an Ex-Catholic and my stepfather is an Athiest. I would have liked to have been born Orthodox, but as I am now at age 27, I don't think I would ever fit in.

I have had this compulsive desire to learn Hebrew. That desire never goes away, so I study it. I love studying it. It leads me into the Tanakh, and a little into Kabbalah. Judaism feels like the truth to me. . . 100% vibration of truth, so I'm certain I will explore it for the rest of my life.

I do plan to do the whole alefbeit, and then do it over again better. I am a traditional artist, but in this case I choose fractals as my medium because they best capture the essence of the letters.

I don't mind discussing my beliefs; I don't often get the chance to.

Please don't be offended if I sound like a know it all, because I am most likely quoting a Rabbi. Their language choices are very assertive. My opinions on things are often very flexible.

May i suggest something, Its kind of like a Hybrid between Judaism and Christianity, called messianic Jews. It is commonly held that the two Cannot be merged, but if you look at the actual texts, they do mix well. as you may have noticed my signiture kind of implies this. One of the major frustration points is that the NT (the B'rit Hadashah) is derived from the Greek (some suspect that there may have been a Hebrew manuscript, but it has been lost to time, and Greek was more of a universal language). the other thing that i would like you to know is that some rabbinical teachings (like some...ok many Christian teachings) contradict scripture or have no scriptural basis (I am NOT saying that All of the rabbis teaching are bad, actually one of the best books I've ever started(Never actually finished it... a bad habbet of mine) Is called Chassids and Rebbes (or something like that)) its just that most of these add burdens to people and some compromise the actual scripture. I will admit that there are an equal if not greater number of parallels in the Christian Assemblies, and i am not saying that the messianics are perfect either, I just have to do my best to give you options.

wow...that was a lot...

also I'm not easily offended, my views tend to be quite solid most of the time, and when speaking about general groups i don't hold back much,(its a little different when on a personal level) and i try to hold tightly to both the letter and spirit of the law, so at times i have to pray that should a situation arise where i am called to execute a harder commandment that i will be able to do it without hesitation. I hold the scripture highest, and then the rabbis and Christan scholars second.

I hope we can become good friends.

(BTW, where in Texas? My dad runs a small Torah study in central Texas. maybe you could drop in some time?)

Wow. Thank you so much. I'm so glad you like my art. I wasn't sure anyone would be interested in it.

I'm not sure how to answer that question. . . what do you want to know?
